Anaerobic Digestion

Strategic product line, fundamental in the green economy, able to propose customized solutions that generate value and sustainability for clients. By valorisation of 100% organic waste, transforming it into a valid resource toproduce biomethane for domestic use and for automotive, or in alternative, togenerate electricity in full respect of the environment.

TM.E. builds anaerobic digestion plants for biogas production starting from different types waste, such as: OFMSW (Organic Fraction of Municipal Solid Waste), sludge from municipal waste water treatment and manure.

TM.E. can propose both “Wet” Anaerobic Digestion Technology with CSTR Reactors (Continuous flow stirred tank reactors) and “Semi-dry” Anaerobic Digestion Technology with horizontal Plug Flow Reactors.

TM.E. developed a proprietary technology for the semi-dry anaerobic digestion characterized by the following features:

  • Digester feeding with «organic pulp» obtained from bio squeezing of the organic waste
  • Horizontal mixing device with engineered paddles arrangment
  • Variable mixing speed
  • Digester with flat bottom
  • Modular construction

The TM.E. digester can be adapted to different plant size and requires only simplified civil works. It is suitable for different operating conditions and inlet waste characteristics. The advantageous features of the plant include the no sedimentation inside digester, no clogging of discharge pipes and optimized mixing efficiency. The technology thus designed ensures cost reduction and increased biogas production.
