Technologies for the Anaerobic Digestion of FORSU
TME builds FORSU anaerobic digestion plants for the production of biogas from the organic fraction of municipal solid waste, sewage sludge, or manure.
The solutions can be configured in “wet” mode with CSTR reactors (continuous flow stirred tank reactors) or “semi-dry” mode with horizontal Plug Flow reactors.
TME developed a proprietary technology for the semi-dry anaerobic digestion characterized by the following features:
- Digester feeding with «organic pulp» obtained from bio squeezing of the organic waste
- Horizontal mixing device with engineered paddles arrangment
- Variable mixing speed
- Digester with flat bottom
- Modular construction
The TME digester can be adapted to different plant size and requires only simplified civil works. It is suitable for different operating conditions and inlet waste characteristics. The advantageous features of the plant include the no sedimentation inside digester, no clogging of discharge pipes and optimized mixing efficiency. The technology thus designed ensures cost reduction and increased biogas production.
